.: What's an FUB :.
Since 1970 the MEC SAROGLIA Company has been producing Automatic platen die cutting machines named FUB. The machine is made of a very solid cast iron platen, which offers an excellent resistance to the pressures required by cutting. Its maximum power reaches 110,000 kg and allows to die cut or create embossing on remarkably thick papers.
 
Versatility
The MEC SAROGLIA FUB works paper starting from80 g/m² to 1,800 g/m², flat cardboard up to 3 mm and corrugated cardboard up to 5 mm, various plastic materials among which PVC and polypropylene.Die cutting and folding of the latter materials is made by hot working, using the heating plate.The cutting die of max. 51x71size is assembled on a suitable frame and fixed to the basement. For smaller cutting dies a toothed frame is used which allows blocking without need of useless filling operations.A 50 HRC steel plate is fixed on the mobile plane. It can stand die cutting pressure without buckling.

The FUB is made automatic by a device called feeder which feeds the machine allowing a good working speed ˜ 2.500 strokes/hour. Such a speed becomes competitive in FUBs with hot foil stamping where the foil always requires a period of melting and transfer on a support (this process applies also to in-line machines).

The feeder is an independent unit put on rails that can be moved from the platen to allow access to basement planes.

·  Quick change of working- Hot foil stamping can be performed more quickly if two honeycomb plates are used. It is possible to put one work on the bench while the FUB is already working and change it quickly when the work is finished.The change of plates and make ready can be done in 15 minutes only!

·  Perfect adjustment- The FUB has inherited a setting of the old printing presses which makes it perfect as per adjustment

·  Saving- Cheaper than its antagonists (with equal quality), extremely versatile, it allows to get competitive products with a remarkable value added.
