Recyclable, Reusable, Remarkable
What is Cast and Cure?
Cast & Cure is a revolutionary
technology that allows you to apply a holographic image
into a UV coating, providing a stunning visual
holographic effect onto the printed sheet. Diversified
Graphic Machinery offers Cast & Cure applications
systems engineered and designed to work with you
existing offset, sheet-fed lithographic printing press
with UV capability. The Cast & Cure System is performed
at print speed and in litho register.
The process utilizes standard printing plates so
that your make-ready is done in flash.
Most importantly, your operator needs no
additional skills to operate the system.
With Cast & Cure, you are able
to apply a spot or flood holographic effect.
The Cast & Cure film is available in a variety of
stock
holographic patterns including High Gloss, Matte and
various Holographic images.
You are also able to create a proprietary design
for authenticity, branding and security applications.
The film used in the Cast &
Cure process is re-usable multiple times, with customers
averaging between 8-10 passes through the press.
The Cast & Cure process is also
a sustainable manufacturing process and meets the need
for an eco friendly solution.
Cast & Cure uses
UV inks and coatings and eliminates the unwanted and
harmful VOC’s associated with similar process.
Cast & Cure eliminates the need to use foil board
or other metallized substrates which are non-recyclable.
How does it work?
The Cast & Cure process is the last process performed on
your printing press. Cast & Cure uses an UV Duct Varnish
that is applied with a standard lithographic printing
plate onto the substrate. The UV Varnish comes into
contact with the Cast & Cure Film, releasing the image
of the film onto the substrate where the UV Varnish has
been applied. The UV Varnish is dried by a UV source,
creating a holographic effect onto the printed sheet.
The Cast & Cure Film is rewound automatically, as it is
able to re-used multiple times.
Cast & Cure is available as a value added upgrade to
your new or existing Offset Printing Press with UV
Capability.
